Assessment for Learning Project: Student Voices
Education conferences are often missing one very important element: student voice. We were hired by the Assessment for Learning Project (ALP) — an initiative working with schools, districts, and educational organizations across the country to reimagine assessment — to change just that.
"This work is a prime example of masterful storytelling. But the work also demonstrates a masterful act of collaboration, taking the raw material gathered from 17 different sites and working with our team and your own team of skilled technicians to build something so powerful."
— Sarah Collins Lench, Director of ALP
Student Voices
Here’s a selection of student voices from the exhibit. Public education will only transform when we raise up the young people in the system and when they tell us how the experience is — we listen.
“Gather&Create helped us take Voices of ALP from the kernel of an idea to a beautiful multimedia exhibition that fundamentally transformed the experience of our annual convening. We hired Gather&Create because there was no model for us to follow for the exhibition we wanted, and we needed a team who was up for the challenge and would be a true partner. Their team has a unique combination of creative vision, attention to detail, technical skill, and passion for storytelling. They helped us translate a very complex, jargon-filled initiative into human stories that inspired and moved people to action. Gather&Create is a joy to work with, and the final product surpassed even our highest expectations.”
